Super Girl Medallion
The Super Girl Medallion is a key piece in Clodagh's work - a testament to a woman who has overcomes a number of mental health issues as a young woman, including addiction, to become a well-balanced adult and loving mother of two. A story of struggle, survival, and redemption.
A wearable sculpture that features the story imprinted on the copper by way of etching, and continued on the bright enamelled inset. The hand-fabricated hollow-form and long handmade double link chain finished in oxidised copper, represents her dark period, while the enamelled section the resilient lady, both equally marked by her journey.
