To provide you with a greater comfort and security whilst shopping with us, we are delighted to offer all our customers a FREE RETURNS SERVICE for all orders please note some restrictions apply. Specifically on custom made or customised pieces. 
We strongly advise all customers to check their purchase thoroughly upon delivery before disposing of any original packaging.
If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, qualifying items can be returned to us within 15 days of arrival with you and are eligible for a full refund or an exchange to the value of the original piece. In order to qualify for a refund/exchange, the goods must be returned undamaged/unworn, in their original box/packaging with the receipt/gift receipt.
Christmas 2023 Update
Pieces are taking longer to make and are in shorter supply than ever, we advise all clients to order very early this year. If a piece is in stock today it very well may not be tomorrow or in 1 week or 1 months time. Now with our extended returns until January 2024 you have the perfect opportunity to secure a unique piece well in advance of Christmas.
We have extended our returns period for the Christmas shopping period. Our standard 15 day return policy is always in place but you can also now avail of returns / exchanges for pieces purchased from 1st November 2023 until the end of January 2024.
A common question we receive is are earrings eligible for return, the simple answer is yes! 
Limited categories of pieces do not qualify for an automatic refund or exchange. This does not affect your consumer rights.
These categories and pieces include:
  • Customised or personalised pieces. This includes pieces which have been re-sized or engraved
  • Items made to order in a particular specification or size. E.g. The size, the gemstones, metal is different to what is listed online
  • Any items that have been worn or are not in their original condition
  • Items sold in the gallery and not online are subject to our standard exchange policy. A gift voucher is the only option refunds are not possible, this does not affect your statutory rights.
Your opportunity to return will expire within 15 days of arrival with you therefore, collection must take place within this period. Returns shipped outside of the 15-day time frame may only be accepted at the discretion of DesignYard. (See Christmas 2023 Update above for extended returns which are now in place)
Return instructions: 
  • The DesignYard Team will arrange for the collection of the item you wish to return
  • Please notify The DesignYard team at of your intention to return an item, stating the reason for the return
  • The DesignYard Team will email you all the shipping documentation, which you are required to present to the DHL courier at collection, and arrange the time and place for pick up
  • The item must be returned in its original packaging and from the country to which the order was delivered
  • Do not seal the package, as the DHL courier must inspect it prior to dispatch
  • Ensure all the shipping documentation is printed and included with the package
  • Please note that unauthorised returns or exchanges will be returned to the sender
Once the order has been returned we will issue a refund to the original payment card within 10 business days. Please note that refund times are dictated by the card issuers and are outside of our control.
To exchange an order, please notify us of your return, following the procedure outlined above and specify the item, which you wish to exchange your return order for.
Exchange items will only be dispatched after the returned goods have been received and have undergone a quality control check.
However, if you simply can’t wait, request a refund and place a new order on and we will refund your original order when it is returned and if it is undamaged/unworn, in it's original box/packaging with the receipt.
Please note for exchanges you will be charged for/refunded any difference in price, plus any additional shipping costs. Import duties may also apply.
Faulty Goods
In the unlikely event that your item is faulty, please email us at stating the nature of the fault, and follow the standard returns process as detailed above.
All jewellery purchased on DesignYard is under warranty against any defect or fault for six months from the date of receipt by you. The warranty only covers damage that, in the opinion of DesignYard, is not caused by an accident or inappropriate use, ordinary wear and tear, modification, attempted repair, negligence or by a failure to follow the specific care instructions offered by the Designer and The DesignYard Team.
If your item is deemed faulty we will either replace it or repair it. If these options are not available to us we will refund the cost of your item including shipping cost (but minus import duties). For goods outside of the warranty a cost for repair may apply.
