Edwardian Yellow Gold Natural Opal Pearl Necklace Brooch

This pendant is a littel piece of jewellery history. The exquisite Edwardian fine opal and seed pearl lavaliere pendant is presented on it's  orginal 9 karat gold rope chain with tube clasp. The necklace is complete with all original components and shows no signs of repairs. More recently a safety chain has been added to support the original clasp. The pendant can be detached from the seed pearl-set bail and worn as a brooch. The delicate floral and guirlande design is embellished with grey seed pearls and features two beautiful natural opals, both displaying a fiery flashes of blues, greens and reds. The opals really come to life on a darker background, when their colourful fire really pops. Worn on skin the soft flattering colours give a delicate feminine look. A versatile piece that  she will certainly enjoy for many years to come.
