Black Dog Tag Large
A striking pin shaped like a dog tag, made in oxidised copper. This pin is part of Clodagh Molloy's ongoing Shared Stories project, which is based on individuals' personal stories of mental health issues. She imprints their stories on copper and uses this to create bold hollow-formed pieces with a delicate meaning, with the intent of busting stigmas by opening the conversation on mental health.
The hollow-formed dog tag is constructed from etched copper, one side highlighting the key issue of the story - here: black dog, a euphemism for depression. The reverse textured with the words of the shared story. The dog tags fix to the wearer with two pins at the back. The tags come in three sizes and feature different themes.
