We’re delighted with customer-response and feedback to DesignYard’s “Spotlight on Ella Green” last week. Friday’s ‘Meet The Maker’ event was a great success with the likes of Artist Lucy Doyle, Designer Ronan Campbell, local Goldsmiths Sam Lafford and Nicole Van Der Wolf mingling with Eimear (The Maker) and our valued customers. Those of you who braved the dreary weather and Dublin marathon traffic diversions to get to DesignYard, were well rewarded with a lovely session with Eimear Lynch – founder and designer of Ella Green Jewellery – and a little tipple.
Eimear is a wonderfully caring woman with a keen interest in the people she meets. It was lovely to see her interacting with DesignYard customers describing her work, her design process and sharing her recent experiences in Colombia. On the night Eimear elaborated on her search for special gems for her upcoming collection and in particular the individuals she met along the way, their lives and livelihood.
Eimear’s connection and concern for the world around her is apparent – she donates 10% of Ella Green profits to charity and follows through by visiting local projects she helps fund. We loved hearing her frank and intimate stories about the amazing work that Monica Sepulveda does in improving lives of individuals in the Emerging Voices Foundation in Colombia. Her fine jewellery is made 100% locally in Dublin, thereby feeding back into our local economy as well as helping the less fortunate further afield.
We know that “fine jewellery” can sometimes be intimidating and aspirational. In stark contrast we find that Ella Green’s jewellery designs are pieces people connect with at a very personal level, they serve to enhance and bring out the wearer’s own personality and spirit.
We have a beautiful curated Ella Green contemporary jewellery collection in-store and online at DesignYard. Pop in to have a look or check her unique collection out online HERE.
Encouraged by the success of Ella Green’s event we look forward to our next ‘Meet the Maker’ event Thursday November 7th, from 5-8pm with Abby Mosseri. We look forward to seeing you there.
